The Alchemist is the threshold of a demigod, and his core is called exactly that — Alchemy.
The canon also notes the second side of the step: outside of battle, the Alchemist plays a notable role in everyday life. Creation for him is not a technique, but an occupation, and the fruits of this occupation spread far beyond the bounds of combat.
As a demigod, he is capable of manifesting an incomplete mythic form, if he is ready to disregard the consequences.
The advancement ritual is the darkest on the entire path and sharply stands out from his scholarly tone: to drain all the life force in a chosen area so that the soil turns into a desert and the lakes dry up.
The composition includes, among other things, a piece of his own flesh and blood and an object symbolizing luck. The path that all this time required blueprints, books, and lenses, at the threshold of divinity requires a part of the master himself.
