Goddess of Beauty

Goddess of Beauty

Highest step

Goddess of Beauty — a step placed before the summit, its characteristic described as a crimson sphere, as if folded from the very concept of beauty and filled with countless human shadows. Beauty here is not an adornment but a force: the shadows of those who saw it remain within.

The advancement ritual is the longest on the path and, perhaps, the loneliest in all of mysticism. The bearer makes a substitute for himself from "lunar paper"; it acts in his stead for a long time without being exposed, and is remembered by many beings — the more the better. The man himself lies in a coffin and remains deep underground for no less than three hundred years, and only then does the original body take the potion.

That is, the first Sequence requires that the bearer be remembered — and at the same time that he himself be absent from among the living for three hundred years.

The composition is also unusual: the amniotic fluid of one's own conception, and if none was preserved, something imagined, recreated, or a historical projection will do. To these — a work of art universally recognized as matchless, and the blood of a child of god.
