Conqueror

Conqueror

Highest level

The Conqueror is the penultimate step, and its ritual leaves no room for allegory: to subjugate a state with a population of more than thirty million so that all living things there fear, obey, and revere you.

The path that began with a lone hunter in the forest comes to the conquest of an entire country — and the logic between these points is direct. The Hunter takes one who is stronger; the Provocator enrages one who is stronger; the Reaper captures one who is higher in the Sequence; the Knight of Iron Blood gathers a squad; the Bishop of War leads an army; the Conqueror subjugates a people.

The composition matches the scale: the blood of the Conqueror or the corrupted fluid of his characteristic, a real crown, a drop of blood from the fingertips of each member of one's own squad, and nine heads of powerful enemies.

The last line of the composition is notable separately: one's own squad enters the formula on par with enemy heads. For this path, allies are the same material of ascension as opponents.
