Seeker of Light — the stage where the path of the Sun takes up its main craft: light and fire against the undead and evil spirits. There are few spells, but each one is practical.
Sunlight — the Seeker ignites light akin to the midday sun: it strikes brutally against corpses and ghosts and blinds all the living around;
Blessing — on himself and allies: weakens fear, cold, darkness and the effect of death, while damage against the undead, on the contrary, strengthens;
Daylight — ten meters around are filled with light, and further it spreads on its own;
Night vision — two "tiny suns" ignite in the bearer's eyes, and darkness ceases to be an obstacle.
Beyond the spells, the Seeker gains knowledge of ritual magic of the solar domain — and this is more important than it seems. The rite does not require a high stage: it requires knowledge, precision and time. Through ritual magic the Seeker of Light does what would otherwise be available only to Otherworldly beings far above him — and it is precisely this that turns the eighth stage from a modest helper into an independent combat unit.
A knack for evil completes the picture: the bearer notices the presence of undead and evil entities before they reveal themselves. For church work this is worth more than half of combat techniques — much of the work consists in understanding in time what you are dealing with.
It is from this stage that the service begins for which the Church of the Eternal Burning Sun keeps its people: finding unclean spirits and burning them out. Everything that will come further along the path — purification, pacts, justice — will grow from these four simple spells.
