Warrior — the first step of the Giant's path and the most straightforward entry into the otherworldly that mysticism knows. The potion grants neither charms, nor foresight, nor power over spirits: it takes the human body and pushes it to the limit of the possible, and then shifts that limit a little further.
The Warrior's strength and agility notably surpass everything an otherworldly-less person is capable of. Along with the body comes the skill to command it:
there is no weapon he could not use — from knife and bayonet to a heavy two-handed blade;
there is no armor that would hinder his movements;
any fighting style he masters faster and deeper than an ordinary soldier in years of service.
It is precisely this honest directness that makes the step valuable: the Warrior does not depend on rituals, amulets, or favorable circumstances — his strength is always with him, it does not fade from outside interference and requires no preparation.
Directness has a flip side. Step 9 remains entirely human: there is no resistance to the otherworldly at this level yet — it will only come with the Unarmed Fighter. Against illusions, spiritual attacks, and curses the Warrior is protected no better than an ordinary person, and in a clash with a mystic his muscular advantage may mean nothing.
