The Chaos Hunter is the step at which the path of order receives its first powers and, curiously, one of them is over disorder.
Equilibrium — he is capable of initially separating the battlefield, bringing order to it, but cannot stop this order from slipping back into disorder;
Disorder — a small share of this power belongs to him;
Judgment — a share of power over it as well.
The proximity of order and disorder in the same hands is explained simply: to hold the former, one must understand the latter. The Chaos Hunter is one who goes out to bring order where it no longer exists.
As an Otherworldly of the third step, he responds to prayers within a certain radius.
The advancement ritual is precisely about this: alone, to deal with a mystical incident involving forces at the level of an angel, and to restore proper order to the affected area. The fewer people who died and the less property that was lost, the better the ritual's effect.
This last caveat sets this path apart from all others: here what matters is not victory, but the price at which it was achieved.
