Middle level

The Notary is the most unexpected step of the path and, perhaps, one of the strongest in effect among the mid Sequences. Physically the bearer gains solidly, but remains a support fighter.
His ability is called Attestation: with a special language that raises the forces of nature and the right words, the Notary does one of three things.
Certification — establishes the authenticity of things, including potion formulas, and lends force to contracts;
Reinforcement — certifies another's ability as valid, temporarily strengthening it; it is pronounced with the words "God speaks, it works!";
Nullification — certifies an ability as invalid, weakening it or dispelling it entirely, with the words "God speaks, it does not work!".
The area of application is the broadest: under Attestation fall both verbal commands and authorities such as Mutation or Wishes, and innate traits such as Dominion over spirits. This makes the Notary an extremely inconvenient opponent for those whose strength rests on one key ability — he simply declares it invalid.
One should also understand the flip side. Attestation has no strength of its own: the Notary does not strike, does not protect, and does not heal — he confirms or cancels what is another's. In a squad this makes him indispensable, and one-on-one against a direct fighter — vulnerable, because one cannot cancel someone else's fist.
Hence the step's place in the church. Certification of the authenticity of potion formulas is not a trifle, but a matter of life: an error in a recipe at a high step means death or loss of control, and the Notary's word here costs more than any alchemist's experience.
The potion's composition matches the craft: crystallized roots of the Tree of the Ancients and feathers of the bird of contract — witnesses and seals, not claws and fangs.
1 set of crystallized roots of the Elder Tree
5 feathers of the contract bird
100 ml of Radiant Covenant Tree juice
Sunflower with a gold rim
Sunflower with a white rim
