Silver Knight

The Silver Knight is a stage at which the heavy infantry of the Giant's path becomes fluid and almost elusive. The carrier's body acquires the properties of silver and light, and its former straightforward might is complemented by speed and unpredictability.

Mercury liquefaction lets him spread out as a pliable silvery liquid: this way he slips away from blows, moves swiftly, and shackles the opponent. With that same liquid the Knight can wrap around an ally as silver armor — or around an enemy, to immobilize and suffocate him.

The silver rapier is his main weapon: silver-white rays condense out of the air in the shape of blades, shredding everything around and being almost impossible to detect. The rapiers blink through space, bypass most obstacles and barricades, strike straight at the target — and can even rip it apart from within. They appear almost without warning, so guessing where the next strike will land is extremely difficult.

Concealment by light turns any source of light into a path: the Knight slips into it, moves and evades, drawing others along if he wishes. Only the Domain of Bestenny can fully extinguish this power. The protection of previous stages here materializes into a full-fledged Silver Armor, which holds a blow better than the giant dragon and withstands a limited number of angelic-level attacks; the Sword of Dawn becomes permanent, and the Knight is able to raise the Hurricane of Light, enveloping his own body in a transparent flame.

One feature sets this stage apart from the others: the strength of the Silver Knight varies noticeably. Everything is decided by the blessing received during the advancement ritual — depending on whose it is, one ability may prove stronger than usual, or may gain a peculiar trait of its own.
