Apostle of Desires is the middle of the path and its first step with an advancement ritual. Here the Abyss takes on other people's desires directly.
Deviation — different devils gain different special abilities after advancement, such as shifting shadows or symbiosis with a desire;
Power over desire — the bearer uses other people's feelings and desires and controls them, inclining people toward degeneration;
Embodiment of desire — he turns his own body into a shadowy black liquid composed of various feelings and desires.
The advancement ritual is one of the most vile in mysticism and at the same time furnished with detailed conditions: a series of murders of those who have fallen, at least thirteen people, at most forty-nine. The more fully the rite is observed, the higher the probability of advancement, and at least three days must pass between two murders — otherwise it is easy to lose control.
The three-day caveat is telling. The Abyss path knows what it is doing: even its own ritual it marks out so that the bearer does not slip into madness before he finishes.
