The Method of Action is built on the principle of gradual assimilation of otherworldly power. A person who has taken the potion becomes a vessel — a neutral carrier. The potion must be digested, the power must become part of the carrier. Until the potion is digested, the carrier is vulnerable: the power is already there, but there is no control over it yet.
The roles of the Path are built on temptation and crossing the line: the Criminal breaks the law, the Apostle of Desires promises the fulfillment of desires, the Devil and the Demon trade these promises seriously.
The Method long remained the knowledge of a few: church hierarchies were in no hurry to reveal it, and many otherworldly beings ascended blindly, paying for it with their sanity.
