Gravedigger

Gravedigger is the stage where the first real skills are added to knowledge. The body becomes stronger and more agile, spirituality grows.

Communion with Spirits — the bearer speaks with nearby spirits, and they are able to help him;

Eye of Death — pressing on his eyes, the Gravedigger bleaches them to grey, and then to complete colorlessness, and with a single glance determines the weak points even of unfamiliar undead and creatures of the Spirit World.

Both skills continue the same line as on the ninth stage: the path of Death does not give the bearer strength, it gives him the advantage of the informed. The Gravedigger can still lose in a direct fight, but he knows where to strike, and he has someone to talk to on the other side.

The Eye of Death deserves a special mention, because it solves the main trouble of anyone who works with the undead. The dead are varied to the point of meaninglessness: one has a weakness in the bones, another in his connection to the place of death, a third in remains hidden many miles away. An ordinary hunter has to find this out on his own skin, but the Gravedigger only needs to look.

The comparison with the path of Darkness suggests itself here and is useful. There they also deal with spirits, but differently: Darkness puts them to sleep and subjugates them, while Death understands and negotiates. The Gravedigger does not order a spirit, he asks it, and it helps.

The composition of the formula rests on the graveyard one: the eyeball of a raven that calls death, a graveyard bloody rose, its leaves, and nine drops of etheric oil with a corpse smell.
