The Bishop of the Rose is a stage at which flesh is added to shadows. Every Bishop of the Rose is a master of flesh-and-blood magic, and this is the only new skill of the stage, yet it defines its entire nature. The name should be understood correctly, and the canon explains this. According to the Chinese interpretation, the rose means love, friendship, and peace — and at the same time points to blood. The Bishop of the Rose leads a community of ascetics and spares no effort in spreading his love and his peace, even if he does so radically and with bloodshed. Hence the eerie duality of the stage: before you is a preacher of love whose main skill is power over flesh. The potion is fitting: blood soaked with pieces of pale flesh, and upon taking it — agonizing pain, as if your skin were being flayed and your body taken apart. The formula includes an immortal flesh mushroom and the largest shard of a vengeful ghost, while the auxiliary part requires a hundred milliliters of one's own blood — the Hanged Man's path readily takes payment from the ascendant himself.
