「吊るされた男」の道は、異界の22の道の一つであり、秘密、影、生贄の儀式を司る。その担い手たちは闇の囁きを聞き、最も暗い代償と引き換えに知識を得る。

道は秘密探求者の薬（序列9）から始まり、序列0、すなわち世界の狭間で揺れる秘密の守護者「吊るされた男」へと至る。「全能なる神」のグループに属する。

小説の時代において、この道は秘密結社によって解体されている。薔薇学派のカルトや生贄の宗派は、大教会の目を避けて自らの司教や牧師を育成している。

作用方法

The method long remained the knowledge of the few: the church hierarchies were in no hurry to reveal it, and many otherworldly beings rose blindly, paying for it with their sanity.

The roles of the pastoral path: The Listener hears what others do not say, the Shepherd is responsible for those who followed him.

The Gallows' path stands above sacrifice, patronage, and silent supervision. Its bearers listen to others' troubles, take them upon themselves, and pay for others at their own cost.

The ladder leads from the Listener through the Shepherd and the Dark Angel to the Gallows.
