The method is simple: the entity must behave according to its stage until the power becomes part of it. Until the potion is digested, the bearer is vulnerable: the power is already there, but there is no control over it yet.
The roles of the path are public: the Bard performs before people and leads them, the Notary certifies and attests to another's truth, the Priest of Light preaches and cleanses. Here you cannot digest the potion in solitude — you need someone to address.
The method long remained the knowledge of a few: church hierarchies were in no hurry to reveal it, and many otherworldly beings rose blindly, paying for it with their sanity.
