Путь Тиран — один из 22 путей Потусторонних, властвующий над бурями, морями и яростью стихий. Его носители — гроза морей в прямом смысле: от цепкого Матроса до Бога Грома.
Начинается путь с зелья Матроса (Последовательность 9) и ведёт к Последовательности 0 — Тиран. Входит в группу «Всемогущий Бог». В эпоху новеллы путём владеет Церковь Господа Бурь — вторая из великих церквей Лоэна.
Носитель пути в Клубе Таро — Алджер Уилсон: ирония в том, что его кодовое имя за бронзовым столом — «Висельник», хотя к пути Висельника он отношения не имеет.

The Path of the Tyrant is a method of absorbing otherworldly entities. The tyrant does not negotiate, does not ask, does not bargain — he simply takes. He tears out the essence of the otherworldly and seals it within himself, subjugating it by force of will.
However, this method has a crucial nuance: the absorbed entity must behave as prescribed by its rank until the power becomes part of the tyrant himself. Until the essence is digested, the bearer is vulnerable — the power is already there, but mastery over it is not yet.
The roles of the path are shipboard: Sailor and Seaman live by sea work, Wind-Blessed steers the vessel where weather is adverse, Ocean Singer appeals to the elements themselves.
The method long remained the knowledge of the few: church hierarchies were in no hurry to reveal it, and many otherworldly ones ascended blindly, paying for it with their sanity.
