Middle level

The Magician is the stage at which stage tricks become true magic. The bearer's hands grow even faster and more precise: even without otherworldly powers, by sheer diligence alone, such a person would have risen to become the finest illusionist of his time. Spiritual vision adds a little, and still falls short of astral projection in the etheric body — the Magician cannot yet tell by a glance whether the being before him is an Otherworlder or not.
Instead, he gains nine abilities, and all of them trigger instantly: neither incantations nor the infusion of spirituality are required.
Damage transfer — as long as the Magician is alive and able to move his hand, he transfers the wound to another place, turning a mortal wound into a light one; each wound can be transferred only once, but wounds of others can also be transferred;
Fiery leap — passage through a left spark or any flame within thirty meters, with temporary immunity to fire, including the witches' black flame; unlike the Wanderer's teleportation, the Spirit World is not crossed directly in the process, so the technique works even where the connection to it is cut off;
Air bullet — a snap of the fingers or a sound imitating a gunshot gives rise to a projectile comparable to a revolver bullet;
Paper decoy figurine — transforms into the Magician himself and switches places with him, taking the deadly blow and weakening curses;
Flame control — free handling of fire within thirty meters, and after fully digesting the potion — flame straight from the air;
Breathing underwater — an invisible air tube five meters long or more;
Bone softening — a way to slip out of handcuffs, ropes, and crates;
Paper as a weapon — a development of the Clown's daggers: now from a sheet come a club, a brick, a cane;
Creating illusions — colors, sounds, and smells close to real ones, up to the covert transmission of a voice to the desired person.
On a separate line go minor tricks such as swapping an object in one's hand for an object from one's pocket — almost no practical use, but for the image they work without fail. In addition, the Magician gains many ways to throw off another's spiritual intuition.
All ranges and powers grow as the potion is digested and the Sequence rises, so a young Magician and an experienced Magician are very different opponents.
