Prometheus

Prometheus is the stage at which Theft ceases to be a pickpocket's craft and becomes an otherworldly power. The body gains in toughness, strength, and speed, and resistance to soul corruption also grows, but that is not the main thing.

From the sixth stage onward, Theft gains depth of concept and reaches things at a distance. Now there are two kinds of it.

The first is the theft of abilities. Within a radius of fifty meters, Prometheus temporarily takes an otherworldly power from a target and himself wields it skillfully for about ten minutes: having chosen what he needs, he snaps his wrist, and the ability breaks away from its owner and flies to him. There are many subtleties here:

the better he knows the target, the more reliably he will take exactly what he wanted; the worse — the closer the matter is to chance and luck;

he needs to find the symbols out of which the ability is composed, and this takes time if you do not know what to look for; by the change in colored lights he distinguishes which power is currently in operation and which is not;

if the target's stage is higher than the sixth, the theft may fail, and the higher it is — the more often; from high Sequences one can steal, but the chances are fewer;

what is stolen returns to the owner not immediately: recovery takes from several hours to several days, at a minimum — twelve hours;

an ability launched before the theft will continue to operate, so it will not be possible to cut off someone else's spell with this technique;

one can also steal soul corruption — but at one's own risk and peril.

The second kind is the theft of things: in the same fifty meters, Prometheus unnoticeably takes an object from a target or, conversely, slips something dangerous into their pocket or hand. He can also steal such things as fire — hence the name of the stage.
