Spirit Warlock — the middle of the path and the first step requiring an advancement ritual. Power over spirits here grows into a craft: the bearer seals various spirits into his own teeth and releases them with a mere click of his teeth.
The strength of such an Other depends directly on which spirits he has managed to find and subdue. With natural spirits he fares better than the Spirit Guide, who is closer to the spirits of the dead. Keeping several on hand, the Necromancer carries out two or three matters at once — the spirits work in his place.
The technique resembles the skills of the Gatekeeper, but is aimed not at the inner afterlife, but at sealing and putting to sleep — which is what connects it with the whole path of Darkness.
The advancement rite to this step is one of the most dangerous among the mid Sequences, because it requires entering the Spirit World not with the soul, but with the body.
The method of action also explains the way of digestion: the stronger the spirits that the bearer has lodged within himself, the faster the potion is absorbed.
