Alger Wilson is a half-elf with bronze skin, a cardinal of the Church of the Lord of Storms, and the second of the first members of the Tarot Club under the name The Hanged Man — an irony of fate for a bearer of the Tyrant path.
Alger is a survivor to the core: for years he has been balancing between his duty to the church, his thirst for forbidden formulas, and his fear of the "ancient being" at the head of the bronze table. Each meeting of the Club for him is a game of chess where the stake is life.
It was Alger who first understood what power Mr. Fool represents — and was the first to bet on a new faith. His foresight paid off: his path leads from the cardinal's robe to heights he dared not even dream of at the beginning.
