Seer pathway. The domain of the spirit world, controlling mind, dreams, and hypnosis. Its beyonders read thoughts, heal and break minds, and rule dreams.

The path begins with the Spectator potion (Sequence 9) and leads to Sequence 0 — Visionary, the god of reason and visions. It is part of the "Omnipotent God" group together with the paths of Sun, Tyrant, Hanged Man, and Apprentice.

It is with the Spectator potion that Audrey Hall — Justice of the Tarot Club and one of the most charming heroines of the novel — begins her journey.

The method: the path of the Seer. An otherworldly being must behave as prescribed by their stage until the power becomes a part of them. Until the potion is digested, the bearer is vulnerable: the power is already there, but there is no control over it yet.

The roles of the path go from observation to intervention. The Spectator watches people without interfering in their affairs. The Telepath and the Psychiatrist already work with someone else's mind, the Hypnotist and the Manipulator — with someone else's will.

The method long remained the knowledge of the few: the hierarchies of churches were in no hurry to reveal it, and many otherworldly beings rose blindly, paying for it with their sanity.
